DKC in isolation
As with a lot of other clubs across the country we are currently in lock down. This doesn’t mean we can’t practice Karate, it just means it is more challenging. We are limited on space and access to equipment, students don’t have access to their Sensei. It would be very easy not to practice at all until we return to normal, this is a mental challenge and the hardest part of our isolation. If we are used to a certain level of activity and that is restricted we can become lethargic, lack concentration and not sleep well. Practicing your Karate when it is more challenging will combat all these problems and make you feel better physically and mentally. Keep going, in the garden, in kitchen, on the landing or in your own room, where ever you train in the next few weeks or months, make it part of your day. I will be updating this page and our Facebook page regularly to help keep you practicing Karate.
